Weighing in just over 9,.5 pounds, his milk gut is expanding appropriately and he is just as tall as the average six-month-old. In the process of reaching his first month birthday, August has mastered the following skills:
**he can successfully make a fist and shake it at you;
**August regularly practices “push-ups” and holding his head high;
**leg extensions;
**and he has rolled over twice unassisted!
After some horrific adventures in pumping, Mommy and Daddy learned that August will not drink from an artificial nipple, despite Daddy’s best efforts. We are not quite sleeping the night through, however, August’s lungs have demonstrably strengthened.
